3D-printed homes are already moving from experiment to real neighborhoods. So we asked the obvious Orange County question: what could the Ready Set Orange ADU idea look like if the same small-home canvas met printed concrete, warmer design, and Central Florida landscaping?
Ready Set Orange already gives Orange County homeowners a practical small-home starting point. The ADU models include compact one-bedroom plans under 1,000 square feet, plus a larger two-level option. That makes them a perfect canvas for a “what if” design study.

We are studying this path with builders, designers, and construction-technology people because the question is obvious: if 3D-printed homes are already being built elsewhere, what would it take to make the idea practical for small homes and ADUs in Central Florida?
Before the technology matters, the property has to survive the basics: jurisdiction, setbacks, access, drainage, flood signals, utilities, HOA/private restrictions, and whether a conventional Ready Set Orange path is actually the cleaner move.
